Introducing Revolutionary Connectivity for Your Home
Discover a new level of kitchen connectivity with the Miele@mobile App. We spoke to Australian and New Zealand Category Marketing Manager of Consumer Technology, Rudi Niemoeller, one of Miele’s longest standing employees, who shares everything you need to know.
How does the Miele@mobile app work?
The Miele@mobile app allows you to connect with your appliances, whether you’re in the home or out and about. All network-enabled Miele appliances are able to be paired with the app via Wi-Fi, giving you the ability to control usual appliance functionalities at the press of a button.
With a few simple clicks, you can find out about detergent levels in your washing machine, check in on the status of your dishwasher programme and get up-to-date images of your roast as it browns, without having to leave the couch.
The app also features more than 1,000 international recipes, with instructional how-to videos detailing what ingredients you need, meaning the perfect recipe for any occasion is just a click away.
What are the benefits of using the app in the laundry?
The Miele@mobile app softly launched in Australia in 2017, with some washing machine and dryer models already featuring connectivity to the app. This allows for flexibility for users, particularly those who might live in two-story houses, who are now able to check the status of the washing machine load from downstairs, simply by glancing at their smartphone.
The new app also features a library section with helpful tips on how to tackle more than 100 different types of stains.
What are the benefits of using the app with kitchen appliances?
For the first time ever, Miele enables you to connect to kitchen appliances via the app through our new Generation 7000 built-in range. Not only will the connectivity save you time, but it will also become an extension of your usual cooking routine. Imagine this – you’re entertaining guests outside while simultaneously checking on the status of your dessert baking in the oven via your smartphone. We’re so excited to introducing Miele’s FoodView, allowing you to monitor your meal and adjust the remaining cooking time and temperature, without having to leave your guests thanks to a camera in the oven!
The dishwasher is also connected to the Miele@mobile app and allows users to conveniently select and start programs while you’re not at home, so the work can be finished before you have arrived.
Coffee lovers will also rejoice as the new Generation 7000 range of Built-in machines are connected via the Miele@mobile app. Those who love an early morning brew will now be able to turn on their coffee machine from the comfort of their bed and ask for their coffee to be ready by the time they’ve finished their morning shower.
Are there any other connectivity benefits for the home?
Throughout the home, the Scout Rx2 Robot Vacuum Cleaner uses Miele’s Home Vision with images transmitted from the front camera to your mobile device. These updates and features take the app to the next level and mean you won’t even need to be home for the house to be cleaned!
